Now is the time to develop good habits.


People always ask me what should I be doing differently today than I was last year.  And my answer is almost always the same - Everything!

The market environment we are in right now demands that your bring your "A" game to the table each and every day.  It also means that things you could get away with last year because of the abundence of opportunities have dissappeared and only the recruiter who functions as the best will be around to see 2010  I reccoment you consider applying these simply habits.

1) Dial at least 40 times a day to someone who can give you business - they won't all call you back - but at least you'll have a steady stream of meaningful conversation.

2) Practice overcoming Business Development Objections - you won't always overcome the objection but it's better than getting caught toungue tied - remember you only one chance to make a first impression.

3) Don't give up on attempting to reach a potential customer.  85% of all recruiters stop trying to call a person if they don't get a job orber.  It takes 3 conversaitons with a person for them just to remember you name.

4) Build your network of quaility candidates now before the market turns again and your left stranded with out a network of viable candidtes.

If you start forming these habits now when the market is notoriously down imagine what you'll be about to accomplish when the market rebounds.

From there I spawn fairly random bosses and lesser mobs, though I do have a habit of spawning clusters of Duke/Bach/Bishops, Lobo/Lupus/Lycaons, and Shaula/Lesaths since their drops are fairly popular. I also like to spawn Riotes and Jerseys if I feel like screwing with the server's current NP Rankings, or Etaros if I want to throw out lots of free money since they drop Gold Coins. In the end I like to gradually ramp up the difficulty by spawning more powerful bosses, then close out with a big finish by spawning Volcanic Rocks, Isiloon, Krowaz, Giga Hammer, Cuff Binder, Felankor, and sometimes Ultima, all at the same time in fairly close proximity to each other.
